Kathmandu. On the evening of 27th August, 2079, Commerce and Supply Secretary Dr. Ganesh Prasad Pandey was notified of the transfer. It was sudden and surprising for Pandey that the cabinet meeting held on the same day decided to transfer. He was transferred to the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. As the secretary of Talukwala Ministry, Pandey was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nepal Oil Corporation. The petroleum transport businessmen who were transporting the fuel of the oil corporation were demanding an increase in the fare. The board of directors of the corporation was not deciding on the rent increase.
