Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Yogesh Bhattarai has said that he is ready to go to the Supreme Court for arguments regarding the Nijgadh International Airport.
He said that he is ready to go to the debate because this project is connected with the national importance and the future of the country.
In a program held in the capital on Saturday on the occasion of International Civil Aviation Organization Foundation Day, he mentioned that it is necessary to remove the rumors spread about the construction of Nijgarh Airport.
"No body of the state will become an obstacle in this project, but the Supreme Court wants to be clear about it, it is the responsibility of the government to make it clear," he said.
He said that the preparatory work of the project will not be stopped even if the Supreme Court is calling for a discussion saying that the project should not be built. "We don't have to go to the field, we can work on the preparation of paperwork," said Minister Bhattarai.
He said that the number of trees to be cut in this project and the environment are spreading rumors by bringing out unnecessary data.
