Kathmandu. Lok singer Bhim Podel has passed away.  Born in Syangja Khudi, he was active in folk singing for a long time.  He has been ill for some time, says Ramesh Viji, the president of Folk and Dohori Geet Pratishthan Nepal.  He died at home.

“He was active in folk singing for a long time.  He is a brother who entered singing through double competition," says President Viji, "I was the judge in many competitions he competed in.  He is a man of great talent.

"Lately he was popular in live duo.  He says that the Lok Dohori area has suffered a great loss due to the death of Ramesh Bhim.Bheem is a talented singer with a graceful temperament.  His death is an irreparable loss for the entire folk music sector," he said.
